About Samson et Dalila

This biblical epic tells of the Hebrews' enslavement by the Philistines. In a square in Gaza, they pray for their release. Samson tries to raise their spirits, urging them to resist their masters, but Abimelech mocks the Hebrews, saying his god is greater than theirs. Samson defies him, and Abimelech attacks him with a sword. Samson disarms Abimelech and kills him, and the Hebrews flee. In the wake of Abimelech's death, the High Priest of Dagon enlists Delilah to destroy Samson, using her hold over Samson to discover his weakness.
